Precision casting consists of a liquid alloy injected into a water-glass metal casting to cool and solidify the water-glass part to obtain the desired shape.
Therefore, investment casting must have two basic factors.
1. Qualified cavity - able to withstand the high temperature of the liquid alloy, with a certain strength; and to ensure that the liquid alloy can fill the cavity.
2. The liquid alloy composition temperature is moderate.
The steps of precision casting are generally: mixed sand tight repair integrated box pouring (smelting steel past breeding solution) - sand cleaning pouring mouth - shot blasting polishing burrs - quality inspection - rust prevention into the warehouse.
Water glass casting must be used in the sand mixing process. Generally speaking, this process uses more raw material of sand. If the sand does not produce a certain shape of cavity, there must be a binder to give adhesion between the sand. Water glass is an organic chemical bonding agent applied in forging production. Water glass casting is a collective name for a variety of polysilicate solutions such as sodium water glass, potassium water glass and lithium water glass. Sodium water glass is common for forging. In the water is often said to be sodium water glass is sodium metasilicate dissolved in water into a viscous liquid.
